The estate Villa Buoninsegna is a
big agricultural property with 320 hectares of fields, vineyards,
olive-groves and Mediterranean forest. In the heart of the property,
surrounded by its secular cypresses, there is the big and antique Villa
Buoninsegna built in 1675, and around the villa there are some smaller
buildings, once the houses of the farmers, that were totally renewed in
1999 and transformed into nice and comfortable apartments. Altogether
there are 4 apartments of different size (2-5 beds) for a total number of
no more than 14 guests. Close to the apartments and to the garden, at the
end of the olive-grove, you find the private swimming pool and the
barbecue. Despite its quite position, Villa Buoninsegna is not far from
the road Siena-Perugia and so it is possible for our guests to reach the
most important tourisitc destinations very easily. Another pleasant
surprise in Rapolano are the local thermal bath "Antica Querciolaia". Two
pleasant thermal swimming pools in the open, with a very relaxing hot
thermal water and many beauty or health treatments. Villa Buoninsegna
guests are offered a 10% discount.
In 2002/2003 the old XVI century Villa was totally restored. The works
were done with the greatest respect for the solemn an majestic
architectonic structure of the Villa, that is characterized by the big
central "salone" with its antique fireplace and the big family crest -
fresco on the vault. The 6 rooms situated on the 2 sides of the salone,
are characterized by the nice vaults and by the beautiful landscape
offered by every window. New bathrooms were inserted (1 for every room),
all made with the precious "Vietri" tiles. The big rooms, all double
rooms for up to 12 guests, were made precious with some antique furniture.
There is also a kitchen for the breakfast service. Villa Buoninsegna can
be rented also by a group (max 12 guests).
