Piecorto Farm, a
small suburb the origins of which can
be traced back to an old fortress of the Fiorentine Republic of the 12th
century, rests on a level ridge, crossed by an old Roman road.
A truly splendid panorama delights the onlooker: on one side the soft
Chianti hills covered by woods and vineyards, on the other valleys and
hillocks that alternate, dotted with old suburbs and villages of the Elsa
Valley, stretching out to the beautiful towers of San Gimignano.
The farm covers a surface of 86 hectares rich in game protected by
preserve. Fourteen hectares are destined to the production of Chianti
Classico wine DOCG, 20 hectares are destined to the production of Terre
del Chianti Classico extra virgin olive oil.
The land is subdivided in large paddocks where saddle horses are bred.
Besides the main houses and an old chapel, the Farm comprises 5 flats,
each one with separate entrance. The flats are fully furnished and
equipped, offering a comfortable stay to families of 3 to 8 members.
The guests can also enjoy the panoramic natural park, the 7x14 metre
swimming-pool, the bowling alley and lounge with TV, table-tennis and
frigobar.
